Privacy Policy, Terms & Disclosures

Last updated: September 15, 2026

Hi, I’m Christine. This is the page nobody wants to read, so I kept it as plain as I could. It covers what information this site collects and why, how I make money, the rules for giveaways and the Virgin Voyages Pocket Guide, and the legal terms that protect both of us. If anything here is unclear, email hello@christinelozada.com and a real person on my team will answer.

By using our websites, channels, or products, you agree to this page. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.

1. Who we are and what this page covers

On this page, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Christine Lozada LLC, a Florida limited liability company, along with its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates. “You” means anyone who visits, subscribes, buys, enters a giveaway, or otherwise uses what we offer.

This page covers:

  • christinelozada.com and whereintheworldiscl.com
  • Our YouTube channels, including Christine Lozada and Drone with cL
  • Our social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and X, including our Virgin Voyages tips accounts and the Facebook groups we run
  • Our email newsletter
  • The Virgin Voyages Pocket Guide and any other digital products we sell
  • Giveaways we run

This page is our Privacy Policy, our Terms of Use, and our disclosures, all in one place.

2. Privacy Policy

2.1 Information you give us

  • Newsletter. When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you share it, your first name.
  • Contact form and email. Your name, your email address, and whatever you write to us.
  • Pocket Guide and other digital products. Your name, email address, account login, and purchase history. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Giveaways. Your first and last name, your email address, and your confirmation that you read the rules, collected through Google Forms and stored in Google Sheets. If you claim bonus entries, we also record the actions you took to earn them, such as bookings or posts in our Facebook group.
  • Messages and content you send. Comments, messages, emails, reviews, photos, and videos you send us. Section 8 explains how we may feature them.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics, through the MonsterInsights plugin, and Jetpack Stats from WordPress.com to understand how people use our site. These tools collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your device and browser type, your IP address, your approximate location, and the site that sent you to us. They use cookies.
  • Email engagement. Our email platform, Kit, tells us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked.
  • Affiliate and link tools. When you click an affiliate link, the partner, such as Amazon, places a cookie so we get credit for the sale. We also use Stay22, which may detect your approximate location to show relevant hotel and travel links and to credit us for bookings.
  • Embedded content. Pages with YouTube videos, our Instagram feed, or Google Fonts load content from those companies, which may collect information about your visit under their own privacy policies.
  • Server logs. Our web host, Bluehost, keeps standard logs such as IP address, browser type, and the time of each request.

2.3 How we use it

  • To deliver products you buy and give you access to them
  • To send the newsletter you signed up for
  • To answer your messages
  • To run giveaways, verify entries, and contact winners
  • To understand which content is helpful so we can make more of it
  • To earn affiliate commissions
  • To prevent fraud, protect our business, and enforce this page
  • To follow the law

2.4 Email

We add you to our newsletter only when you sign up for it or when you enter a giveaway (see Section 7). If you buy a product, we’ll email you about your purchase. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can use it at any time.

2.5 Cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may break parts of the site, such as the Pocket Guide login. To opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit, install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

Our site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, because there is no common standard for them.

We do not currently use advertising tracking pixels on christinelozada.com. If that changes, we will update this page.

2.6 Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the business, including Kit (email), Stripe (payments), Google (analytics, forms, and file storage), Bluehost and WordPress.com (hosting and site tools), and Stay22 and Amazon (affiliate links). They may use it only to provide their services.
  • seaSUN Vacations, which co-sponsors our giveaways, so it can help run them, verify bonus entries, and contact winners.
  • Our travel agency partners, only when you ask us for help with a trip or booking, so they can quote and book it for you.
  • Authorities or others when the law requires it, or when needed to protect our rights, safety, or property, or someone else’s.
  • A future owner if the business or its assets are sold or transferred. This page would continue to apply to your information.

2.7 How long we keep it

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
  • Purchases: while your account is active, and afterward for as long as we need it for tax and accounting records.
  • Giveaway entries: up to three years after the giveaway ends.
  • Messages: as long as we need to respond and keep a record of the conversation.

2.8 Your rights

No matter where you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we have about you
  • Correct it
  • Delete it
  • Stop sending you marketing emails

To make a request, email hello@christinelozada.com or use our contact form. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within 45 days. Deleting your information may end your access to a product you bought, and we may keep what the law requires us to keep, such as purchase records.

Some places, including California, the European Union, and the United Kingdom, give you additional privacy rights. We will honor those rights where they apply, and we will never treat you differently for using them.

2.9 Visitors outside the United States

We are based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed here. Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on your consent (for example, when you join our newsletter), on what’s needed to deliver something you asked for (such as a Pocket Guide purchase), and on our legitimate interest in running and improving our business. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

2.10 Children

Our websites, products, and giveaways are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. You must be 18 or older to buy a product or enter a giveaway. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

2.11 Security

We use reasonable safeguards, and payment information is handled by Stripe rather than stored on our site. No website or email service is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

3. How we make money

We want you to know exactly how this business earns money, because it’s what lets us keep making free content.

3.1 Affiliate links

Some links on our websites, in our video descriptions, in our social posts, and in our emails are affiliate links. If you buy or book through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We work with affiliate programs and tools including Stay22 and GetYourGuide.

Christine Lozada LLC is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

3.2 Cruise and trip bookings

When you book a Virgin Voyages sailing or a Costa Rica trip through our travel partners, we may earn a commission. It never adds a fee for you.

3.3 Sponsorships, comped travel, and partnerships

On some trips, past and possibly future, travel, accommodations, tours, or activities have been provided to us at a reduced rate or at no cost by tourism boards, hotels, cruise lines, or other travel partners. We may also be paid to create content for brands. When any of that applies to a specific video, post, or article, we disclose it there.

3.4 Other income

We also earn money from YouTube ads and from selling our own digital products, such as the Virgin Voyages Pocket Guide.

3.5 Our opinions are our own

None of this changes what we tell you. We do not accept payment in exchange for a positive review, and we will tell you when we did not like something.

4. We’re not the travel company

Christine Lozada LLC creates travel content. We are not a travel agency, a cruise line, a tour operator, or a seller of travel, and we do not sell, issue, or book travel ourselves.

When you book a trip we’ve recommended, your booking is made with, and handled by, an independent travel agency. Virgin Voyages sailings are booked through seaSUN Vacations, and Costa Rica trips are booked through D. Tours Travel. Your agreement for that trip is between you, that agency, and the travel supplier, such as the cruise line, hotel, or tour company, and their terms apply.

We are not responsible for what travel agencies or suppliers do or fail to do, including cancellations, delays, schedule or itinerary changes, pricing, refunds, lost property, illness, injury, or anything else that happens during your trip.

5. Travel information and other disclaimers

5.1 Travel information changes

Everything we publish reflects what we knew or experienced at the time. Travel changes constantly. Prices, itineraries, menus, onboard policies, port details, and passport, visa, and health requirements can all change without notice. Before you book, pay, or travel, confirm the details directly with the cruise line, hotel, tour operator, or official government source. Nothing we publish guarantees a price, availability, or experience.

5.2 We’re independent

We are not owned by, operated by, or speaking on behalf of Virgin Voyages or any other brand we talk about. Virgin Voyages and other company names and trademarks belong to their owners, and we use them only to identify what we’re talking about.

5.3 Not professional advice

Our content is for general information and entertainment. It is not medical, legal, financial, tax, or immigration advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your own situation.

5.4 Your safety

Travel and the activities we show, including excursions, hiking, zip lining, rafting, snorkeling, swimming, and other water activities, carry real risk. You are responsible for your own health, safety, fitness, and decisions, and you take part at your own risk.

5.5 Drones

Our drone content, including the Drone with cL channel, is for education and entertainment. Drone laws vary by country, state, city, park, and cruise line, and they change often. You are responsible for knowing and following every law and rule that applies to you, including FAA rules in the United States, and for flying safely. We are not responsible for any damage, injury, fine, or legal trouble that results from your flying.

6. The Virgin Voyages Pocket Guide and other digital products

6.1 What you’re buying

Our digital products, including the Virgin Voyages Pocket Guide, are digital downloads. When you buy one, you get a personal license to use it. You may download it, save it to your own devices, and print it for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You may not share, copy, resell, forward, upload, post online, or otherwise distribute it, in whole or in part, and you may not share your account login. Each purchase is for one person. We can see account activity, and if we find a product or account being shared, we may end access without a refund.

6.2 Lifetime access

“Lifetime access” means you can access your product for as long as Christine Lozada LLC is in business and continues to offer it. We may update, change, or retire a product at any time. If we retire a product, we will try to give buyers notice so they can download a copy to keep.

6.3 Keeping it current

Virgin Voyages changes its policies, prices, and offerings often. Our guides reflect our best information as of their last update, and some details may be out of date by the time you read them. Always confirm important details with Virgin Voyages directly.

6.4 Refunds

We offer a 30-day refund on digital products. If you’re not happy, email hello@christinelozada.com within 30 days of your purchase, and we’ll refund your payment to your original payment method. Once a refund is issued, your access to the product ends. We may decline requests that show a pattern of abuse, such as repeatedly buying and refunding the same product.

If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us before disputing it with your bank. We can usually fix it faster.

6.5 Prices and orders

Prices can change at any time, and discount codes can be created or expired at any time. A later price change doesn’t entitle you to a partial refund on a past purchase. If a product is listed at the wrong price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you.

7. Giveaways: Official Rules

These rules apply to every giveaway we run. Each giveaway also has its own page listing the prize, the dates, how to enter, and any bonus entries. Those details on the giveaway page apply to that giveaway. Everything else is governed by these rules.

7.1 No purchase necessary

No purchase or booking is necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited.

7.2 Sponsor

Our giveaways are put on and sponsored by seaSUN Vacations and Christine Lozada LLC. Virgin Voyages does not sponsor our giveaways. Giveaways are also not endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Virgin Voyages, Instagram, Facebook, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, or Google. By entering, you release those companies from any responsibility connected to the giveaway.

7.3 Who can enter

You must be 18 or older to enter.

The following people are not eligible to enter or win:

  • Employees of Virgin Voyages
  • Christine Lozada LLC, seaSUN Vacations, and our team members
  • Travel agents and employees of travel agencies, including independent agents working with seaSUN Vacations
  • Clients who moved a booking with us to a different agency or agent, or who received a quote from us and booked that sailing elsewhere
  • Immediate family and household members of anyone listed above

7.4 How to enter

Enter using the form on the giveaway page before the entry deadline listed there. Unless the giveaway page says otherwise, entries close at 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the closing date. Limit one form entry per person. Entries made with multiple email addresses, fake names, scripts, bots, or any automated method are void, and we may disqualify anyone we believe is tampering with a giveaway.

7.5 Bonus entries

Some giveaways offer bonus entries for certain actions, such as commenting on a post or booking a sailing. The bonus entries for each giveaway, and how to earn them, are listed on its giveaway page.

7.6 Picking the winner

Winners are chosen by random drawing from all eligible entries, including bonus entries. Your odds of winning depend on how many eligible entries we receive.

7.7 Notifying and claiming

We notify winners by email, using the address they entered with, and we may also announce winners publicly. A winner has 24 hours from our email to reply and accept. If a winner doesn’t respond in time, isn’t eligible, or can’t meet the prize conditions, the prize is forfeited and we may choose another winner.

We will never ask you to pay a fee, buy anything, or share a credit card number to claim a prize, and we will only contact you from our own official accounts or email. Anyone who asks for payment is not us. Please report it to hello@christinelozada.com.

7.8 The prize

The prize is exactly as described on the giveaway page. Unless that page says otherwise:

  • Airfare, transfers, hotels, travel insurance, bar tabs, onboard purchases, and any other costs not listed are not included.
  • The prize can’t be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.
  • No other promotions, discounts, or perks apply, including Sailing Club perks.
  • If the prize becomes unavailable, we may substitute a prize of similar or greater value.
  • The winner and any guest must meet the cruise line’s requirements, including age, health, and travel documents such as a valid passport, and must agree to the cruise line’s terms. If the winner can’t travel on the prize sailing, the prize is forfeited.

7.9 Taxes

The winner is responsible for any taxes on the prize. If the prize’s value requires us to report it to the IRS, the winner must give us a completed IRS Form W-9 before the prize is awarded.

7.10 Publicity

By accepting a prize, the winner agrees that we may use their name, city and state, photos, videos, and statements about the giveaway and the trip in our content and promotions, without further payment, except where the law doesn’t allow it.

7.11 Our email list

By entering a giveaway, you agree to join our email list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.

7.12 Release and final decisions

By entering, you agree to these rules and to our decisions, which are final. To the extent the law allows, you release Christine Lozada LLC, seaSUN Vacations, and our team from liability for any injury, loss, or damage connected to the giveaway, the prize, or prize travel.

7.13 Changes and cancellation

If fraud, a technical failure, or anything else outside our control affects a giveaway, we may cancel, pause, or change it, and choose a winner from the eligible entries received before the problem.

7.14 Winner list

To request the name of a giveaway’s winner, email hello@christinelozada.com within 60 days after the winner is announced.

8. Messages, comments, and content you send us

We love hearing from you, and sometimes we share what you send. That includes reading emails and comments on camera, quoting messages in posts, and featuring photos and videos from sailors.

When you send us an email, message, comment, review, photo, video, or other content, through any website, social media platform, email, form, or group we run, you give us permission to use it. That means we may copy, edit for length or clarity, publish, and share it, including your first name and any name, photo, voice, or likeness included in what you sent, in any media, now or later, without payment to you. Before we feature a message, we remove email addresses, phone numbers, and booking numbers.

If you don’t want something featured, tell us when you send it. If you change your mind later, email hello@christinelozada.com and we’ll stop using it in new content. We can’t always remove something that has already been published.

Please send only content you have the right to share, and don’t send anything confidential. We aren’t required to keep what you send confidential, pay for it, or respond to it.

We may remove comments or posts in spaces we manage if they are abusive, spam, off-topic, or break these terms. We are not obligated to monitor those spaces, and we are not responsible for what other people post.

9. Terms of use

9.1 Our content

Everything we create, including videos, photos, writing, graphics, guides, and our names and logos (Christine Lozada, Where in the World is cL, and Drone with cL), belongs to Christine Lozada LLC or to the people who licensed it to us, and is protected by copyright and trademark law.

You’re welcome to watch, read, and share links to our content. Without our written permission, you may not copy, download, re-upload, repost, republish, sell, or create new works from it, except where a platform such as YouTube gives you a built-in way to save it for personal viewing.

9.2 No AI training

You may not use our content, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune, test, or improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning model, or to build any dataset, without our written permission. This includes collecting our content by scraping, crawling, or any other automated means.

9.3 What you may not do

You may not use our websites, content, products, or groups to:

  • Break any law, or encourage anyone else to
  • Infringe our rights or anyone else’s, including copyrights and trademarks
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, defame, or discriminate against anyone
  • Share false or misleading information, or pretend to be someone else, including pretending to be us or our team
  • Upload viruses or malicious code, or interfere with how our site works or its security
  • Collect other people’s personal information
  • Spam, phish, scrape, or crawl

9.4 Third-party links and tools

Our content links to websites, products, and tools run by other companies. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy, products, or policies. Any purchase or booking you make with a third party is between you and that company, so please read their terms before you buy.

9.5 Errors and changes

We may correct errors, update content, or change or discontinue any part of our websites or products at any time. We’re not obligated to update older content, and some of it is historical.

9.6 Ending access

We may refuse service, or end your access to our websites, products, or groups, at any time if you break these terms. If we do, you must stop using, and delete, any paid materials of ours that you downloaded.

10. Copyright complaints (DMCA)

We respect copyright and expect the same. If you believe something on our websites infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work
  3. Identification of the material you believe is infringing, and where it appears on our site
  4. Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them

Designated agent: Christine Lozada LLC, hello@christinelozada.com

If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may send us a counter notice. Where appropriate, we end access for people who repeatedly infringe.

If you find our videos or other content reposted without our permission, please tell us at hello@christinelozada.com.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

Our websites, content, products, and services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don’t promise that our site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any information is complete or current.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Christine Lozada LLC and our officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of our websites, content, products, or giveaways, or from any travel you book because of our content, even if we were told those damages were possible.

Our total liability to you for any claim of any kind will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

Some places don’t allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Christine Lozada LLC and our officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that arise from your use of our websites, content, or products, from content you send us, from your breaking these terms, or from your violating anyone else’s rights.

14. Resolving disputes

14.1 Talk to us first

Most problems can be fixed with an email. Before filing any claim, email hello@christinelozada.com describing the issue, and give us 30 days to try to resolve it.

14.2 Binding arbitration

If we can’t resolve it, you and we agree that any dispute arising from or relating to this page, our websites, content, products, or giveaways will be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of in court. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead, and either of us may go to court to stop the infringement or misuse of intellectual property.

14.3 No class actions

Claims may be brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action, and an arbitrator may not combine more than one person’s claims.

14.4 Opting out of arbitration

You may opt out of arbitration by emailing hello@christinelozada.com within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms, with your name and a statement that you are opting out of arbitration.

14.5 Time limit for claims

To the extent the law allows, any claim must be filed within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred.

14.6 Florida law

Florida law governs this page, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any court case allowed under this section will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

15. General terms

  • Severability. If any part of this page is found unenforceable, that part will be limited or removed only as much as necessary, and the rest stays in effect.
  • No waiver. If we don’t enforce part of this page, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.
  • Entire agreement. This page, together with any giveaway page or product page that applies, is the entire agreement between you and us about its subject.
  • Assignment. We may transfer our rights and obligations under this page, including to a future owner of the business. You may not transfer yours without our written permission.
  • Events outside our control. We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, internet or service outages, or government action.
  • Headings. Section titles are for convenience only and don’t change the meaning of any section.

16. Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use our websites. If you have trouble accessing any content or feature, email hello@christinelozada.com, tell us what you were trying to do, and we’ll work with you to provide the information another way.

17. Changes to this page

We may update this page from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your personal information, we’ll give notice on our site or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using our websites, products, or channels after an update, you accept it.
